spacious room but need some refresher. ventilation is not good, others facilities are ok.
Surrounding people are kind and helpful.
opposite the hotel, the restaurant (can't remember the name) food is good and reasonable. serve western and chinese food. the female boss is helpful and kind. |

Reception staff when answering phone should be polite and professional in addressing customers' needs and queries. Currently staff appears very rude, abrupt and unaccommodating. |

I had an excellent stay, Thai visa run! Hotel Mingood organised the visa & the 24hr rush service which was great. MY only 1 problem & it was not really the hotel's was on the final morning, when I had to leave early, I went up to breakfast to find it packed with some kind of 'youth group' in the middle of a prayer meeting & there was absolutely no way to get in to get breakfast, considerate weren't they - I left hungry! |

The hotel is located conveniently near(5-7min walk) the main city bus station and other shopping malls. Staff are really helpful. Provided us with all the maps and directions. Ideal hotel for backpackers and for people who roam all over the city and just comeback to hotel for sleep, good hotel to stay for others. Clean and tidy. Hot water, soap, towels etc provided. Good value for money and easy on wallet. |

Although a flask of hot water is available on request, an electric kettle in the room will be more convenient. The room cleaner does an excellent job. The office staff members are very helpful and friendly. |

Was very cheap, yet very clean. If you want something very simple then it will suit you. Large room but very sparse. Breakfast was basically toast and jam and oranges. If travelling on a budget would stay again. |

No frills, but the place is clean and the location is good, although at night it may be a bit dark. Staff helpful and the simple breakfast is good for health. |

Surprisingly the room was very spacious but really felt like being in an old house. It helped that the ceiling was high and there was a small veranda to add brightness to the room. The front desk staff was very helpful. The hotel itself is located in the heart of the city but you must be ready to walk a whole lot. In Penang, moving around is not convenient because of a lack of public transportation. All in all, in this hotel you get what you paid for. |

When checking in, my friend was frightened by the receptionist's stern look and harsh voice. But later throughout our stay, she became friendlier and even recommended for us to visit a famous Prawn Noodle joint close to her home in Air Itam. If you plan to stay at Mingod Hotel, ask her about it! Not too bad experience, though the furnitures seem very old, its clean and satifying enough for our money. Plus the location couldn't be better; in the middle of the city and only walking distance to Penang's night life! |

Really loved the hotel.The front office staff are very helpful.
The morning breakfast is simple but very feeling and nutrous.
I will definately come back here on my next trip next year. |

The hotel was not live up with my expectation, aircond not function property, noisy, smelly etc. Overall feel uncomfortable when stay in Mingood hotel...... Can't sleep well because so.... noisy......... Help...... it very expenseve ...... environment are so bad... |

The room is clean, but maybe the hotel can change the old bedsheet, its clean but wornout. The staff is very friendly specialy the old indian lady.I really appreciate it.When i visit Penang again i will surely stay at Mingood Hotel. |

I really mad with their service attitude!!! I book the quad-room for my family (3 adults and 1 baby) for 1 night stay in Penang, and after they check-in to the room, I went visit them with my boy firend, stay in the room less than half an hour, then brought them for dinner, spent some times in the room after dinner, if I'm not mistaken, we just spent less than half an hour before leaving the room. But after I left the room, they request for extra RM20 from my family members because according to what they observed from the CCTV, there are more than 5 people went inside the room!!! If they really did check carefully, sure they'll know me and my boyfriend already left after 10.30pm, so why extra charge is needed??? I understand that extra charge is needed if there is more than 4 people staying in a quad-room, but since that we din't stay over night inside the room, then what's wrong if I go visit them??? any rules and regulations state that customers are not allowed to have visitor??? they din't really check for their CCTV to ensure that what's going on and straight away go disturb my family members and ask for extra charge, some more they argue with them when my family members try to explain to them, is that the right attitude to treat their customer??? I really wish that they will treat this seriously and appologise to my family members. |
