Kuala Terengganu > Pulau Perhentian
Renowned as one of Malaysia's marine paradise, Pulau Perhentian meaning ' Stopover Island' is not to be mised. It is comprised of two islands - Pulau Perhentian Besar and Pulau Perhentian Kecil - which are revered by sunbathers.

Covered by virgin jungle, windswept palms, powdery white beaches and surrounded by sapphire blue waters, Pulau Perhentian is a sanctuary for fishermen, migratory birds and all nature lovers. Holiday makers could enjoy scuba diving, snorkelling, deep-sea fishing, swimming, windsurfing, sailing, boating and canoeing. Closer to shore, you can watch turtles lay eggs. |
Getting there
Pulau Perhentian can be reached in 20 minutes by speed boat from the jetty in Kuala Besut, which is about 75 minutes away from Kuala Terengganu.

On Pulau Perhentian Besar, there a number of upscale resorts as well as budget chalets available. Chalets are also available on Pulau Perhentian Kecil.
