The Geological Museum was established in 1957 to house collection of over 60 mineral samples. It is renowned for its exhibition of tin ore, including the best specimen of cassiterite (tin ore or tin oxide) in the world. Exhibits are classified according to chemical content and structure. There is also an impressive array of fossils, precious and semi-precious stones and rock specimens.
