What are the reasons to visit?
The degree of authenticity is such that the existing street architecture needed no makeup for its part in a movie set in 19th century Siam.
Penang's Chinatown stretches from Weld Quay to Lebuh Stewart, Lebuh Muntri, Lebuh Campbell and Lebuh King. There are a lot of pre-war clanhouses, shophouses and temples found along these streets, which was the Chinese immigrant settlements since the 1800s.
