Pahang > Gunung Tapis Park (Kuantan)

About 16km from Sungai Lembing is the Gunung Tapis nature park. The park offers excellent camping spots and a number of activities. A variety of other species of wildlife also inhibit the park. As for relaxation, a number of hot springs can also be found. Visitor can shoot the rapids on one of several rivers or fish for the 'Ikan Kelah' a Malaysian sub species of the great Indian Masheer (tortambroides duronesis). If a visitor plan to stay over, camping sites and survival equipments are necessary. Prior arrangements for the trip must be made through the local Out bounders Society or the Tourist Information Centre. |

Gunung Tapis located 16km from Sungai Lembing, Kuantan.
By Road :From Kuala Lumpur, take the Karak highway and follow the the road to Bandar Temerloh. Taxi services are available to the park.
