Mountain Resthouse motel is situated just beside the main highway road to the east coast of Sabah where other tourism hot spots like sepilok orang utan santuary,kinabatangan river, sipadan island etc.. were located. Motel is only (500m) or 4 minutes walk to kinabalu national park headquarters with restaurants so visitor intend to do mount climbing would not need their transport on standby. 3 km away is the Kundasang town (highland vegetables town and a golf field)and 30 minutes drive to Ranau Poring hotspring.
